My history
I am a native of Massachusetts, graduate of the University of Massachusetts (MA), small business owner (language services), member of the Republican State Committee and chairman of the non-profit The Fatherhood Coalition, promoting the interests of fathers and families since 1994.

What is the Governor’s Council?
A little known but very important public body the Governor’s Council is composed of eight elected individuals responsible for approving judicial nominations to all the state courts. The Council also approves Notaries Public and provides advice and consent on pardons/commutations and treasury payments.

Why the Governor's Council is important
As the third branch of government the Massachusetts state judicial system is overlooked and neglected by those concerned about our government. This is not the case in nearly every other state where judges are either elected, certified or reviewed by the public. The Governor’s Council hearings provide our only public opportunity in Massachusetts to review judges before they are seated for life.

Why I am a candidate
As chairman of The Fatherhood Coalition I monitored nearly every public judicial nomination hearing before the Governor's Council and attended more hearings than many councilors. Nominees routinely are not asked the most important questions - such as how they would handle important issues of law that conflict with the constitutional rights of those who appear before them in court- but nonetheless all were approved for judgeships by the current council. This disregard of the importance of constitutional safeguards must change.
